The International Camping Card came about from the desire to give all campers an easy and economical way of travelling, camping and getting to know new cultures by accessing thousands of campsites all over Europe. Through the card, users can arrive at any campsite that is part of the system and have guaranteed entry, with a discount while keeping the passport in their pocket.

To carry out a customised refresh of the platform and gear it more towards the young adult target audience, we developed a totally customised portal, respecting the complex business model, with a modern design while keeping all the previous functionalities and data.

The new platform is available in 7 languages and has 3 reserved areas: a customer area, a partner area and a club area, the latter with 3 membership plans.
We optimised the business models by extending the network of partners to complementary areas of camping, and introducing membership plans through the PayPal system.

We have also integrated automatic notifications (with alerts when the expiry date of the CCard is approaching), Google Maps, geolocalisation and Sendinblue for e-mail marketing purposes.

The platform also includes a news segment and a page listing all the benefits and discounts, as well as other suggestions of interest for campers.

One of the evolutions that made the most difference in this digitalisation process was the transition to the digital card. This simplified the bureaucratic processes, reduced the production and delivery costs of the cards and is beneficial in terms of the environment and the usability of the card by the customers.
